In keeping with the motto of delivering “Best in class Services & Solutions”, we are moving into the realm of a new era of “Capability as a Service”, where we strive to deliver an impressive array of solutions and services. Our key focus is to deliver excellence in an efficient and optimum environment that will provide unmatched value to our clients. Below is a brief description of the services we are currently delivering.

Operational Finance

One of the core areas of TSBDCL’s service delivery encompasses (is) the Transactional Finance, where we are engaged in ensuring we deliver the following transactional elements of the business for Tata Steel and some of its group companies - Accounts Payable-Procure to Pay (P2P), Accounts Receivable -Order to Cash (O2C) and Record to Report (R2R).

Closing & Accounts Consolidation

As a part Closing & Accounts Consolidation the team at TSBDCL collects and combines data from different activities, departments, or business activities so that they may appear in financial statements like the income statement, balance sheet & cash flow statement.  Consolidation and close takes place at the end of an accounting period: the end of the month, the quarter and the fiscal year.

Treasury Operations

Treasury Operations includes the mid/back office activities for the practices involving mitigation of financial risks related to FX and commodity rate changes by utilizing hedging methods, leveraging forward exchange contracts or currency options. Companies are exposed to market risk. Market risk derives from market prices and rates volatility, such as commodities, interest rates, and FX rates. A change in any of these market factors can significantly impact your company’s cash flows, so the treasury front office team of Tata Steel by use of various hedging instruments mitigates the risk associated with these items, the mid/back office team of TSBDCL validates the transactions, monitors the cashflow, compliances & reporting associated with the entire hedging operations.

Business Finance

Business Finance or the Corporate Finance manages the financial resource allocation, forecasts, opportunities for financing in areas like equity and debt etc.

Working Capital & MIS

Working Capital as a financial metric is the operating liquidity. It is considered as an operating capital along with fixed assets e.g. plant and equipment. Its importance as a key operating criterion arises out of the requirement of an organization to have a positive working capital to ensure that it is able to continue its operations and that it has sufficient funds to satisfy both maturing short term debt and upcoming operational expenses. A management information system (MIS) is an information system used for decision-making, and for the coordination, control, analysis, and visualization of information in an organization.
