Tata Steel was established in India as Asia's first integrated private steel company in 1907. With this, we also developed India's first industrial city at Jamshedpur. Today, we are among the leading global steel companies. Our crude steel capacity across Indian operations is nearly 20 MnTPA and we registered a turnover of INR 91,037 crore in FY21. We also set up our second greenfield steel plant of 3 MnTPA in the eastern state of Odisha in 2016; the expansion to 8 MnTPA in currently underway. We possess and operate captive mines that help us maintain cost- competitiveness and production efficiencies through an uninterrupted supply of raw material. This is how we ensure that we remain the lowest cost producer of steel in Asia. We have also established our global presence in Europe (UK & Netherlands) with a crude production capacity of 12.4 MnTPA and South East Asia (Thailand & Singapore) with a production capacity of 2.2 MnTPA.

In line with the ethos of Tata Group enriched by the trust and experience of Tata Steel, Tata Steel Business Delivery Centre Limited (TSBDCL) embarked on its ambitious journey back in 2018 as the Global Business Solutions Centre catering services to the Tata Steel group. Our highly capable workforce of approximately 200 professionals are engaged in providing service excellence out of two locations viz. Kolkata & Bhubaneshwar and are on a growth trajectory striving to attain peak in the next few years. Our global service delivery model is based on three pillars- People, Process & Technology and we are on a path of continuous improvement through digital adoption through Analytics COE and Digital Process Excellence.
